So this was a real fun shoot filled with lots of warm smiles, energetic youngsters, and beautiful scenery, but before I go too far I have to warn everybody that my wonderful wife (Michelle) normally writes these posts. However; with Michelle not actually being present at this shoot, the story shall be mine to tell this go around
The Mayfields were a wonderful group of families to work with for this mid december shoot. The weather was quite perfect for the afternoon with sunny skies giving an extra warm glow to everyone’s cheery faces at the shoot. As I mentioned before my wife was unable to attend this shoot, however; a close friend of ours, and to one of the Mayfield families, filled my wife’s spot for the afternoon to help keep me on track and get some extra fun poses
So thank you Kim Audi for all of your help on this occasion. It could not have been done without your creativity and joy. I think another wonderful thing that happens on these type of shoots with lots of kids is how they can all have unique and fun reactions when grouped together. They are very much genuine moments that have a sort of classic painterly portrait look to them. I think it’s actually quite funny. and of course what is even more quirky is what you can’t see occurring behind the camera with all of the adults as they act even more kiddish than the kids to grab some smiles and laughs.
Big Thank you again to all of the Mayfields for allowing me to capture some great moments and laughter for a mid december afternoon.
