Weylin LaSure + Khushboo Sheikh | Sneak Peak

We are excited to be posting this sneak peak as we are slowly getting caught up on our April portrait sessions.  Weylin & Khushboo were married on April 5th, 2012!  We had the pleasure of photographing their Engagement Photos just hours before they jumped on a plane for Las Vegas to get hitched.  Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. LaSure!!!  More pics coming soon… =)

Jeremy Spray + Jordan Watson | Engagements

Jeremy Spray, Caleb & I go way back…back to the good old college days!  =)  We were so excited when we found out he was engaged!  And even more excited when we found out we would get the opportunity to photograph their wedding!  This shoot was a blast for us.  It was a new location, as the couple lives in Denton, TX.  So we got the opportunity to branch out of our normal locations in the DFW area and shoot on UNT campus and on the Main Sq. in Denton.

It was so fun to meet Jordan and see what a perfect match she is for Jeremy!  They are both full of life, joy, passion, and love for both life and one another…and we believe the images show just that.  We hope you enjoy the photographs as much as we did taking them.

Congratulations on your engagement Jeremy & Jordan…we are looking forward to May 19th!

Tyler + Melissa Parman | Day After Session

Many people ask us what a “Day After Session” is…in this case it was actually months later due to scheduling and a need for prettier weather!  But the Day After session is truly one of our favorite sessions to shoot…why?  Because the wedding is over, it’s a moment where there is time for the Bride and Groom to really enjoy being together, to not feel rushed with wedding & reception responsibilities and a crowd watching them be photographed.  It is both fun for the couple and for us as the photographers.  We get the opportunity to capture moments and memories that are next to impossible to catch during a wedding!

Tyler & Melissa Parman were married on October 8, 2011.  It was so much fun to photograph them almost 6 months later and still see them as excited and in love with each other as on the “Big Day!”  We found a fun rustic location to compliment their vintage style and it turned out beyond perfect.  The day was a little chilly but given it was our first opportunity to shoot post winter weather it turned out beautifully!  We hope you enjoy!

The Mayfields

So this was a real fun shoot filled with lots of warm smiles, energetic youngsters, and beautiful scenery, but before I go too far I have to warn everybody that my wonderful wife (Michelle) normally writes these posts.  However; with Michelle not actually being present at this shoot, the story shall be mine to tell this go around:)

The Mayfields were a wonderful group of families to work with for this mid december shoot.  The weather was quite perfect for the afternoon with sunny skies giving an extra warm glow to everyone’s cheery faces at the shoot.  As I mentioned before my wife was unable to attend this shoot, however; a close friend of ours, and to one of the Mayfield families, filled my wife’s spot for the afternoon to help keep me on track and get some extra fun poses:) So thank you Kim Audi for all of your help on this occasion.  It could not have been done without your creativity and joy.  I think another wonderful thing that happens on these type of shoots with lots of kids is how they can all have unique and fun reactions when grouped together.  They are very much genuine moments that have a sort of classic painterly portrait look to them.  I think it’s actually quite funny.  and of course what is even more quirky is what you can’t see occurring behind the camera with all of the adults as they act even more kiddish than the kids to grab some smiles and laughs.

Big Thank you again to all of the Mayfields for allowing me to capture some great moments and laughter for a mid december afternoon.

Our 1st Family Session!

So even as photographers it can be hard to capture your own family in the way that you REALLY want to.  We’ve done our best since Isaiah was born to take photos and videos as often as possible of our family.  But they are normally a quick snap shot to document an event or a picture of one of us with Isaiah while the other shoots.  We decided we needed to give in and actually hire a photographer to capture us in a really Photo Session!  YAH!!!!

Isaiah was 9 months…it was a perfect age.  He had just learned how to stand up holding on to a chair and was interacting so much more!  The photographs are by Ben Q. Photography, such sweet friends of ours.  We hope you enjoy them and please check out their blog as well…they are amazing photographers and artists.  Thank you Q’s!
